What’s the UltraFitLifestyle

The UltraFitLifestyle doesn’t mean you have to be a triathlete or have super low body fat.
The UltraFitLifestyle doesn’t mean you have to be super strong and spend hours in the gym.
The UltraFitLifestyle doesn’t mean you have to be perfect.

YOUR UltraFitLifestyle can be anything you want it to be as long as it makes you feel confident in your own skin.

My UltraFitLifestyle consists of moving every day.
Sometimes it’s just a long walk with my dog.
Sometimes it’s a super intense cardio HIIT.
Sometimes it’s a restorative yoga session.

It’s also more than just physical fitness.
My UltraFitLifestyle includes ME time.
Family time.
Reading.
Meditation.
Education.
Time management.
Planning and strategy.

My UltraFitLifestyle is a constant struggle to get my nutrition right.
Sometimes I do a 3-day juice cleanse.
Sometimes I eat a 5-Star steak dinner.
Sometimes I eat Chick-fil-a and Oreos.
(See what I mean when I say it’s a struggle?)

And lastly, my UltraFitLifestyle has a sense of purpose.
I like each day to be a journey towards improving myself, my relationships, and my business.
I definitely don’t get it right all the time. It’s about progress, not perfection.

I started in dance at age 5 at Ray Hollingsworth’s Studio of Dance in the small town of Martinsville, Virginia. Ever since then, I have developed a love of movement. Dance is also an art form and physical activity that lends itself to constant progress. It’s a journey and not a destination. Over the years, as I grew older, I enjoyed an amazing career as a professional dancer on stage, TV, and film. On the side, I nearly always kept a job in a gym. Mostly, I wanted that free gym membership so I could workout. Along the way, l started to realize that I actually knew what I was doing in a gym. I got certified as a personal trainer and slowly learned how to help others take control of their fitness.

Fitness is a physical game. It’s also an enormously mental game. When I started my fitness business in 2015 and named it UltraFitLifestyle, I didn’t realize how much psychology is involved in personal training. The reps and the sets are easy to guide people through. The tough part is when my client is exhausted or had a bad day or something emotional going on in life. I learned that nutrition is easy to read about and commit to…and execution of healthy eating habits is really hard if the mindset is not in order.

Mindset.
Fitness.
Nutrition.

This trifecta is the key to establishing your UltraFitLifestyle.

How to do that?

I started this website and blog so that I could share with you the ways I manage my UltraFitLifestyle. I use processes and products that help me stay consistent in my growth and forward motion. I’d like to help you create the habits and routines that make up YOUR UltraFitLifestyle.

Thanks for joining me.
